Onions are very low in calories and have no negative effects except to your breath. They may make you cry when you cut them, but they are a good part of any diet because they help reduce the risk of heart disease and contain both anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory components. Onions also help open up clogged airways and help reduce the chances of having a stroke. As with most vegetables, raw onions are the healthiest, but cooked onions still provide the same benefits. Onions are a good source of B vitamins as well as fiber, potassium, and niacin. The next time you make any italian dish, chop up an extra onion and add it to the sauce!

I just came across your blog and wanted to drop you a note telling you how impressed I was with the information you have posted here. I also have a blog about acid reflux symptoms, so I know what I’m talking about when I say yours is top-notch! Keep up the great work, you are providing a great resource on the Internet here!
Many people dont eat onions because of bad breath. I think that's absurd. Onions have lots of health benefits. I eat them on everything. They also help keep me regular if you know what I mean
