To make a great stomach soother and sleep-aid, make a tea with 4 teaspoons of dried lemon balm in a cup of boiling water. Lemon balm contains terpenes, chemicals long studied in Europe that act as a sedative. The addition of the stomach soothing chemicals really adds the one-two punch to using lemon balm as a sleep aid. I have found that even mild stomach discomfort keeps me awake, and lemon balm tea really helps!
