There are some ways to slow its attributes and live a longer, more comfortable life, though. I will break this down into two areas, dietary and lifestyle.

If you want to live a longer, healthier life there are some dietary changes that should be made.

Practice moderation when consuming red meats.

Drink lots of water. Your body needs a surplus of water to maintain health and to remove impurities.

Eat a salad comprised of mixed greens every day. The darker the leaves the more antioxidants they contain so don't forget the wild greens and spinach leaves. Add dried cranberries for extra antioxidants and flavor.

Eat a variety of vegetables, making sure that you eat a least one carrot, one broccoli spear, and one celery stalk every day. These provide an excellent source of vitamin A and help regulate blood pressure.

Eat a variety of fruit every day. Make sure that you have a good combination of fruits including citrus. Fruit smoothies are a great way to combine a bunch of different fruits into one tasty drink.

Add nuts to your daily diet. Just one brazil nut and an once of sunflower seeds every day will boost your level of antioxidants and vitamin E. Nuts are very high in fat, so do not go overboard.

Drink at least one antioxidant tea every day. These teas are available at any health food store.

Replace corn and vegetable oils with olive oil.

Always practice moderation with snack foods, especially high-fat snacks like potato chips.

The following herbs also help fight off the effects of aging:

Ginko biloba helps with blood flow and improves memory.

Evening primrose is great for skin health and helps fight off heart disease and cancer.

Garlic is an excellent antibiotic and can help regulate blood pressure.

Milk thistle helps your liver function.

Peppermint helps your digestive system and also contains antioxidants.

Purslane is another great source for antioxidants.

American ginseng helps the skin and muscles and can improve your digestive system.

As we all know there are some simple ways to live a longer, happier life. We all know that we shouldn't smoke, drink in excess, or sunbathe. These things should not be any surprise to anyone. However, some other lifestyle changes may be a bit more unusual.

Do not ever follow a fad diet. Diets that focus on eating only one type of food or that keep you from a well-rounded diet will do more harm than good. We require a variety of nutrients to maintain our bodies and our immune system.

Never take any diet pills, unless prescribed by your doctor to do so. Most of these pills focus on three areas. They either block your bodies ability to absorb certain substances, they trick your body into thinking that it is full, or they hyper-accelerate your heart to burn calories. All of these concepts are horrible on your body. If you need to loose weight, than this next life-extending tip is for you.

Walk. Walk every day. Not just to and from your car. If the weather is agreeable, try to walk for at least a half an hour every day.

Exercise at least 3 times a week. This does not have to be heavy weight-lifting or extreme pilates, just ride a bike or find a fitness program that you enjoy.

Cleanse and flush your body at least once a year. Just as with your car, gunk can build up that has to be removed. This also prolongs your liver and kidneys.

Do not take life too serious. Having a negative attitude will age you faster than almost any other factor!

cmvendelynoreply@blogger.com
